Aalis Management Consulting, LLC has completed the Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP) INTERNATIONAL Program, which equips Veteran-owned businesses with the tools to enter and expand their federal and commercial contracting opportunities overseas.
On June 11, 2026, Aalis was one of 41 businesses from 14 states to graduate from the program — a milestone that strengthens the firm’s international growth strategy while it continues to deliver for its government and commercial clients.
In Ebony’s words
“VIP INTERNATIONAL provided valuable insights into navigating the complexities of international business development and contracting,” said Ebony Wilkins, President & CEO of Aalis Management Consulting. “The program strengthened our understanding of global market opportunities, compliance requirements, and strategic partnerships, positioning Aalis to pursue international growth while continuing to deliver exceptional value to our government and commercial clients.”
About VIP INTERNATIONAL
The first program of its kind in the nation, VIP INTERNATIONAL is conducted by subject matter experts from industry and government with the goal of accelerating participants’ success entering and expanding internationally through best business practices. Topics include contract negotiation strategies, understanding cultural differences, compliance and logistics, marketing, proposals, business development, program management, internal controls, and human resources management. The program also connects participants with a national network of Veteran-owned small businesses to team with on opportunities or serve as mentors.
“Veterans are uniquely qualified to succeed globally, given their experience in the military,” said Barbara Ashe, National Director of the Veteran Institute for Procurement. “We are honored to give back to the men and women who served our country by providing them with the necessary tools to accelerate their growth in the international marketplace.”
VIP INTERNATIONAL is a three-day, 27-hour comprehensive certification program. Participants must have been in business for at least three years with a minimum of three full-time employees, have experience performing on federal government contracts as a prime or subcontractor to a prime, and be an owner, principal, or C-level executive of a Veteran-Owned Small Business. The program is fully funded by the Montgomery County Chamber Community Foundation — in collaboration with partners including the SBA, Lockheed Martin, the State of Maryland, corporate sponsors, and alumni donors — and is available to participants at no cost.
